Dr. Warren Haas is registered before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and works as a patent agent within the firm's Intellectual Property practice group. Dr. Haas possesses extensive experience in the management of patent procurement, and in the drafting and prosecution of patent applications in a variety of areas including superconductivity, circuit elements for wireless communications, lighting, messaging and heating devices, nuclear quadrupole resonance detectors, X-ray phosphors, catalysis, inorganic and organic chemistry and polymers. Over his many years of patent experience Dr. Haas has drafted and prosecuted over 400 patent applications in many complex physical, chemical and electrical subject areas.
Prior to joining Potter Anderson, Dr. Haas was employed at E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company for over 35 years as a scientist in physics research, and then as a patent agent in DuPont's Central Research and Development group. He served as Manager of DuPont’s Central Research and Development Intellectual Property Liaison Group for over ten years, where he oversaw the drafting and prosecution of DuPont’s extensive patent estate including work in the areas of biochemistry, polymers, superconductivity, molecular biology, electronic materials, chemistry, and materials science.
Dr. Haas has also served as an Adjunct Lecturer at Widener University and LaSalle University in a variety of courses including Physics and Calculus.
