Biography

Charles S. Crompton, Jr., a retired Potter Anderson partner, served as law clerk to U.S. District Court Judge Richard S. Rodney prior to joining the firm in 1962. He became a partner in 1965 and served as chairman of the firm from 1988 to 1997. He also served as chair of the Delaware State Bar Association and is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.

Charlie practiced principally in the areas of corporate and commercial litigation and in corporate transactions. He represented many large public corporations in a wide variety of matters.

Charlie retired from active practice in 2001 and has been of counsel since that date. He is an inactive member of the Delaware Bar.
