Attorneys Main

Jennifer C. Wasson’s clients trust her to handle their commercial, corporate and insurance litigation in Delaware state and federal courts. She is a leading contributor to Potter Anderson’s well-known insurance coverage practice, where she represents corporate policyholders in complex insurance litigation involving general and professional liability, property, and D&O policies, among other types of coverage. Jennifer’s breadth of knowledge and experience in the Delaware courts is a valued asset to clients for whom she serves as Delaware counsel, and she routinely works closely with many national policyholder-side firms, advising lead counsel on both procedural and substantive issues throughout the litigation.

An active member of the trial team in two major insurance coverage actions in the Complex Commercial Division of the Delaware Superior Court (CCLD), Jennifer has trial experience in matters that resulted in significant verdicts for her policyholder clients. She also has tried both civil and criminal cases in Delaware’s federal courts, including as a prosecutor with the United States Attorney’s Office through Operation FED-UP, a law enforcement initiative to combat the use of guns to commit felony crimes. In addition, Jennifer uses her trial skills to effectively represent victims of abuse in Delaware Family Court through her pro bono service with Delaware Volunteer Legal Service’s Protections From Abuse Program.

Jennifer has received an “AV Preeminent” peer-review rating from Martindale-Hubbell, and as one client noted in her profile, “Jennifer’s character, integrity, and intellect are second to none. She is the first litigator I would call for high stakes litigation in Delaware.”
