Barrist Participates on ACREL Panel Discussing Ground Leases

At the 2024 American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL) Mid-Year Meeting in Monterey, Calif., real estate partner Joy Barrist will participate in a panel titled "Unlocking the Ground Lease Financing Puzzle: Lender, Landlord, and Tenant Insights."

The panel will:

  • Outline the concerns faced by landlords when considering a ground lease structure
  • Understand lender considerations when financing ground leases
  • Navigate the competing interests and sale and financing issues facing a ground lease tenant in lease and loan negotiations
