Potter Anderson & Corroon Representing Delfasco in Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

August 5, 2008

The ongoing war in Afghanistan and Iraq has taken its toll on Delfasco Inc., a major supplier of practice bombs to the U.S. Department of Defense.  The decline in the need for the practice bombs and the rising cost of steel and electricity has forced New Castle-based Delfasco into bankruptcy. The Potter Anderson & Corroon team of Steven M. Yoder, Theresa V. Brown-Edwards and Gabriel R. MacConaill will be representing the company as it moves to sell its hardware forging business based in Hurst, Texas, addresses an ongoing environmental problem in Grand Prairie, Texas and restructures the rest of its business.  Delfasco has obtained a  $1.8 million debtor-in-possession loan and the additional liquidity provided by the financing should permit the company to achieve its goal of a successful reorganization.
