Potter Anderson & Corroon Partner Peter J. Walsh Jr. Named a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America

Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP is pleased to announce that Peter J. Walsh Jr., a partner in the firm’s Corporate and Litigation groups, was named a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America and inducted into the organization at its spring conference.

The Litigation Counsel of America is a trial lawyer honorary society comprised of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers.  Fellows are selected based on effectiveness and accomplishments in litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels, and superior ethical reputation.  Membership is limited to 3500 lawyers, and includes attorneys in private practice, in-house counsel and governmental attorneys.

Mr. Walsh is a corporate and commercial litigator.  He has first-chaired many trials in the Delaware courts, and has successfully argued cases before the Supreme Court of Delaware and in the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.  He routinely handles stockholder class and derivative actions, summary proceedings pursuant to the Delaware General Corporation Law, and hostile takeover proceedings. 

Mr. Walsh has been recognized annually by Chambers USA:  America's Leading Lawyers for Business as a leading commercial litigator in Delaware, and was named in the most recent editions of The Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers.   Mr. Walsh is the chair of the Committee on Business & Corporate Litigation of the Business Section of the American Bar Association.  He received his J.D. from Washington & Lee University School of Law and his B.A. from Johns Hopkins University.
