Potter Anderson Representing FormTech Industries in Chapter 11

Team Lead by Partners Steven Yoder and Jeremy Ryan
September 24, 2009

Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP is serving as debtor’s counsel to FormTech Industries LLC's in its chapter 11 bankruptcy case.  FormTech has entered into an asset purchase agreement with HHI Holdings LLC and, pending an auction process and court approval, intends to close on the sale in early October 2009.  In the interim, FormTech has obtained an $8.5 million debtor-in-possession loan from HHI to provide the company with financing to continue operating.

FormTech manufactures forged automotive parts and states that its forgings, gears, shafts for transmissions and transfer cases, clutch housings, bearing races and wheel spindles, go into almost every car and truck produced in the U.S. HHI is the largest independent maker of forged parts, and Mitsubishi Corp. purchased a minority stake in the company October 2006.

Potter Anderson partners Steven M. Yoder and Jeremy W. Ryan are leading the team.
