Jeremy Ryan Appointed to Bancroft Board February 4, 2010
Bancroft has named Jeremy Ryan to its board of trustees. A corporate bankruptcy attorney, Ryan is a partner at Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP, a large Wilmington, Del., law firm. Before joining Bancroft’s board, Ryan served on the board of the Walker Center, a Philadelphia-area nonprofit that recently merged with Bancroft.
Bancroft, a non-profit corporation founded in 1883, supports those with intellectual and developmental disabilities and acquired brain injuries. Annually, Bancroft serves more than 1300 children and adults in programs encompassing education, rehabilitation, vocational, residential, evaluation and treatment services.
Ryan has extensive experience in financial and business matters, including ways to improve business operations, contract issues, leasing, fraud and credit issues, among others. A member of the Delaware, Pennsylvania and Philadelphia bar associations, he was named a leading lawyers in bankruptcy in the 2009 by Chambers USA, an independent guide to business attorneys.
Ryan received his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and his bachelor’s degree from Washington & Jefferson College. He lives in West Chester, Pa., with his wife Deborah and their two children, Jake and Becca.
