Two Potter Anderson Partners Named to Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers in America List; Eight Attorneys are Finalists

September 2007

Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP is pleased to announce that Donald J. Wolfe, Jr. and Mark A. Morton have been named to the third annual Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers in America list. The list will be featured in Lawdragon’s Fall magazine, due out in early November.

In addition, eight Potter Anderson partners — Michael D. Goldman, John F. Grossbauer, Richard L. Horwitz, John E. James, Kevin R. Shannon, Laurie Selber Silverstein, Michael B. Tumas and Scott E. Waxman — were recognized as finalists. They were among 2500 finalists who were chosen from more than 20,000 attorneys nominated by their peers and the Lawdragon editorial staff for the list. Mr. Grossbauer, Mr. Morton, Mr. Tumas, Mr. Waxman and Mr. Wolfe were also named to Lawdragon’s 500 Leading Dealmakers list earlier this year.

The Lawdragon 500 was selected from the finalists based on a proprietary system that takes into account dozens of qualifications that are scored to determine the best lawyers nationwide. Among the factors utilized in the list’s selection are extensive research by a staff of award-winning journalists who interview thousands of lawyers nationwide and a survey of lawyers and general counsel who nominate and vote for their peers online. The 500 Leading Lawyers in America also reflects the practices that are the “hottest” during a particular year, as well as those individuals who have had the greatest recent impact on the legal world.

First published in 2005, The Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers in America recognizes lawyers from a wide range of practices, as well as in-house counsel, law professors, judges and neutrals, government attorneys, and public interest lawyers. According to Lawdragon, those named to the list represent less than one-half of one percent of the legal profession, placing them among the most elite group of legal professionals.
