Potter Anderson & Corroon Elects New Partner, Names Counsel

WILMINGTON, Del. – Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP is pleased to announce it has elected Michael K. Reilly as partner and named James M. Kron as Counsel.  Both were previously associates at the firm.

Mr. Reilly joined the firm in 2004 as an associate and is now a partner, practicing in the firm’s Corporate practice group.  He focuses his practice on counseling Delaware corporations on corporate law and governance issues arising in both routine operations and extraordinary transactions. 

Mr. Reilly is a member of the Delaware State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.  He serves as the Editor of Deal Points, the Newsletter of the Committee on Negotiated Acquisitions of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association.  He also has authored a number of published articles on a broad range of corporate law issues.

Mr. Reilly earned his B.A., summa cum laude, from Villanova University and his J.D. from Cornell Law School, where he served as an Editor of the Cornell Law Review

Mr. Kron joined the firm in 1999 as an associate and is now Counsel, practicing in the firm’s Litigation group, focusing primarily on toxic tort, product liability, breach of contract, and automobile Lemon Law defense.  He also provides counsel to clients regarding intellectual property licensing, trademark and copyright issues.  In addition, Mr. Kron has experience in litigating construction and commercial cases. 

Mr. Kron is a member of the Intellectual Property Section of both the Delaware State Bar Association and the American Bar Association, as well as a member of the Defense Research Institute and  is an inactive Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Delaware.  He has been admitted to practice law in Delaware and the United States District Court for the District of Delaware since 2000.  He is also registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. 

Mr. Kron earned his B.S.M.E., cum laude, from Lehigh University, his M.B.A. from the University of Toledo and his J.D., cum laude, from Widener University School of Law where he was the Business Manager for the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law
