Potter Anderson Represents Acushnet in Defeating Challenge to Favorable Jury Verdict

Firm News

Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP and its co-counsel were successful in their representation of Acushnet Co. in securing a final judgment in the company’s favor regarding the effort of Callaway Golf Co. to overturn an earlier jury verdict.  In the litigation involving Acushnet’s Titleist ProV1 golf ball, U.S. District Court Judge Sue L. Robinson declined to disturb the jury’s finding that the patents Callaway had asserted were obvious and therefore invalid. The Potter Anderson team was led by partner Richard L. Horwitz.  Henry C. Bunsow and Joseph Lavelle from Dewey & LeBoeuf and Brian A. Rosenthal from Mayer Brown served as lead counsel on the matter.
