Speaking Engagement

On September 7, 2016, the Delaware Department of Technology and Information, the Greater Wilmington Cyber Security Group, Delaware League of Local Governments, and the Small Business Development Center sponsored the Secure Delaware Workshop in Dover, Delaware.  Potter Anderson was proud to sponsor and exhibit at the workshop.

Delaware's 7th Annual Cyber Security Workshop provided cyber security training for Delaware's citizens, business employees, students, and government employees. Attendees learned how to improve your odds of defending yourself, your family, your employer, your business, and the citizens of Delaware against cyber-attacks. This event provided the opportunity to share information and collaborate across all lines of government, business, and citizens to strengthen  our readiness and response posture.

Potter Anderson partner, William Denny, gave a presentation discussing "Data Breach and Vendors: Strategies to Limit Your Risks of Data Breach and Protect Yourself from Vendor Vulnerabilities."  This session focused on how businesses should develop data security policies to reduce the risk of data breach and to respond effectively when one occurs. The session also provided best practices to handle vendors and to assure that your vendors don’t run afoul of your cyber security practices or put your confidential data at risk.
