Barrist Participates on ACMA Panel on Delaware LLCs, LIBOR and Loan Splits

At the 2019 annual meeting of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys in Monterey, Calif., real estate partner Joy Barrist participated in a panel titled “Let’s Not Get Burned by These Latest Hot Topics: Lessons to Learn About Delaware LLCs, LIBOR, and Loan Splits.”

The panel discussed several matters that every real estate lawyer should know how to handle:

  • Delaware LLC Act amendments regarding divisions and “registered” series and how they impact real estate deals
  • Developments regarding LIBOR
  • Practical aspects of the nuances one must remember and consider when splitting loans

Barrist is an ACMA fellow and serves as the Delaware state chair of ACMA.
