Barrist and O’Toole to Discuss Delaware LLC Act’s Impact on Real Estate Transactions
At the 31st Annual RPTE National CLE Conference in Boston, partners Joy Barrist and Matt O’Toole will be speaking on a panel titled “The Recent Amendments to the Delaware LLC Act and its Impact on Real Estate Transactions.” The conference is an annual event organized by the American Bar Association’s Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law.
Barrist offers a full range of commercial real estate law services involving the finance, acquisition, sale, lease and development of complex multimillion-dollar real estate projects throughout Delaware, around the country and internationally. She regularly represents banks and lending institutions, private equity firms, investors, developers, owners, landlords, and tenants. Barrist chairs the RPTE Section’s Mortgage Lending Committee.
O’Toole concentrates his practice on corporate and commercial transactions, particularly the structure and use of Delaware business entities, including corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships (general and limited) and statutory trusts. He currently serves as a member, and is the immediate past chair, of the Council of the Corporation Law Section of the Delaware State Bar Association. He currently chairs the bar association drafting committee responsible for the Delaware Limited Liability Company Act.
