Potter Anderson Sponsors Redding Benefit and Awards Gala

Speaking Engagement

Potter Anderson is proud to support the Louis L. Redding Benefit and Awards Gala hosted by the Delaware Barristers Association on November 9 in Wilmington. We have been a gold-level sponsor of this annual celebration since its inception.

The gala honors the legacy of Louis Redding, a prominent civil rights advocate and the first African-American attorney to be admitted to the Delaware bar. Redding was also an instrumental part of the legal team that successfully challenged school segregation before the U.S. Supreme Court in Brown v. Board of Education.

This year’s honorees will be:

  • Bryan Stevenson, founder and executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative
  • Kristen Clark, president and executive director of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law
  • Irving Morris, (posthumously) a legendary Delaware civil rights lawyer.

For more details about the event, visit the Delaware Barristers Association’s website.
