Wilmington, Delaware (August 21, 2012) – Potter Anderson & Corroon partner, Richard L. Horwitz has been named a leading practitioner in the inaugural edition of IAM Patent 1000 – The World’s Leading Patent Practitioners.  The guide states that Horwitz, one of the “most familiar faces in the Delaware courts,” has “earned a great deal of respect among the judiciary and takes in a steady flow of patent cases as part of a broad litigation remit.”  In addition, the firm’s IP litigation practice has been recognized as “excellent” and “has built a name for the proactive handling of cases – often in collaboration with out-of-state lawyers – to meet the needs of household names in the computer, e-commerce, biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors.”

Compiled by researchers at Intellectual Asset Management magazine, the IAM Patent 1000 is a guide to best-in-class patent prosecution, licensing and litigation lawyers in 50 jurisdictions worldwide. The guide is based on interviews with almost 1,000 lawyers and in-house counsel and represents the full range of patent services, from creation through management to dispute resolution.
