Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP Names Donald J. Wolfe Jr. Chairman

WILMINGTON, Del. – Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP is pleased to announce that the firm’s partners have elected Donald J. Wolfe Jr. as chairman of the Executive Committee, the firm’s governing body.  Mr. Wolfe succeeds David B. Brown who is completing his three-year term as chairman.  Mr. Brown will continue to serve a one-year term as immediate past chairman while focusing on his mergers and acquisitions and business transactions practice.  

Mr. Wolfe, a partner practicing in the area of corporate litigation, served as chair of the firm's Corporate Group and as a member of the firm's Executive Committee from 1999 through 2005. He was named among the Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers in America for 2008 for the third year in a row and was also included in the Lawdragon 500 Leading Dealmakers in America in 2007.

The firm’s partners also elected Jennifer Gimler Brady and Kevin R. Shannon to the Executive Committee.  Ms. Brady, who previously served as the Executive Committee’s member-at-large, will chair the firm’s Litigation Group.  Mr. Shannon will join the Committee for the first time, serving as member-at-large.  Michael B. Tumas and Scott E. Waxman were re-elected to the Executive Committee, and will serve another term as chairs of the firm’s Corporate and Business Groups, respectively.  Daniel F. Wolcott Jr. will serve as the firm’s administrative partner, overseeing special projects for the chairman and the Executive Committee.  Tapped to serve as vice chair for each of the firm’s three practice groups are: Nicholas I. Froio (Business Group), Matthew E. Fischer (Corporate Group) and W. Harding Drane Jr. (Litigation Group).

These changes are effective Jan. 1, 2009.
