Potter Anderson Advises Williams on $10.5 Billion Deal

Williams, one of North America’s leading natural gas companies, and Williams Partners L.P. announced an agreement under which Williams will acquire all of the outstanding public common units of Williams Partners in an all stock-for-unit transaction. The transaction is valued at $10.5 billion. Following consummation of the merger, which is expected to close in the fall of 2018, Williams Partners will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Williams.

Partner Michael Tumas and associate David DiDonato served as Delaware counsel to Williams.

Potter Anderson also recently assisted in securing an appellate victory for Williams.
