The Litigation group assists clients with disputes in the full spectrum of commercial matters, including those involving intellectual property, construction, environmental issues, insurance coverage, health care, product liability, contracts, antitrust, and labor and employment.   In addition to their significant state and federal court trial work, Potter Anderson & Corroon litigators have an active appellate practice before the Delaware Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.  They also have an active practice outside of the courtroom.  They handle all phases of matters before local boards, commissions and administrative agencies, and also represent clients in non-traditional and growing fields such as alternative dispute resolution, mediation and arbitration.

Providing quality representation to clients requires that the firm's lawyers participate in and serve as leaders of the many local and national professional organizations that shape the litigation landscape.  These organizations include the various sections of the Delaware State Bar Association and the American Bar Association that address litigation matters, such as Litigation, Business Law, and Torts and Insurance.  Members of the firm are speakers at seminars sponsored by organizations such as the American Bar Association, the Delaware State Bar Association, the Practicing Law Institute, the National Business Institute, law schools and universities, and also frequently author works of legal scholarship published by such organizations.  Potter Anderson & Corroon attorneys also have shaped the laws and rules that direct litigation practice in Delaware through their involvement in various rules and advisory committees of the Delaware state courts, as well as the United States District Court for the District of Delaware and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
