Ashman Weighs in on Recent Developments in Delaware and Corporate Law

Partner Bert Ashman was a panelist at the Fourth Annual Symposium on Corporate Law at UC Berkeley. The panel discussed recent case law and statutory developments in Delaware and corporate law.

The symposium is a multi-panel event explores the development of corporate law, the evolving relationships between corporate stakeholders, M&A and what corporate lawmaking may look like in the future.

Ashman focuses his practice on corporate and commercial litigation in the Delaware Court of Chancery. He has extensive experience with litigation concerning fiduciary duties, merger and acquisition transactions, corporate control disputes, breach of contract claims, and other complex matters, as well as with disputes involving limited partnerships and other alternative entities. He also litigates claims asserted under the Delaware General Corporation Law, such as claims for indemnification, stockholder inspection demands, and dissolution. In connection with his litigation practice, Ashman also advises directors, stockholders, and other parties on their rights and obligations under Delaware law.
