Corporate litigator Matthew Davis moderated a panel at the BYU Winter Deals Conference. Titled “The Scope of Corporate Purpose,” the panel discussed papers from:

  • Jill Fisch — Professor of Business Law and Co-Director, Institute for Law and Economics, University of Pennsylvania
  • Dorothy Shapiro Lund — Assistant Professor of Law, USC
  • Michael Knoll — Theodore K. Warner Professor of Law & Professor of Real Estate; Co-Director, Center for Tax Law and Policy; Deputy Dean, University of Pennsylvania

Davis focuses his practice on business and corporate litigation in the Court of Chancery, where he litigates complex and often expedited matters. Prior to practicing law, he was a tax consultant with Ernst & Young.

The Winter Deals Conference brought together leading scholars and practitioners to present state-of-the-art research on the legal institutions supporting contemporary markets. Potter Anderson is a sponsor of the 2020 event. For more information, visit the conference website.
