Barrist Chairs ABA Program on Trends in Commercial Guaranty Agreements

May 11, 2018

At the 30th Annual ABA Real Property Trusts and Estates Law Spring Symposia in Orlando, partner Joy Barrist chaired and moderated a program titled “Latest Trends in Commercial Guaranty Agreements.” The program focused on the evolution of the negotiation of commercial guaranty agreements over the past five years, specifically addressing:

  • Various types of commercial guaranty agreements
  • Negotiated provisions of guaranty agreements including, but not limited to, guaranty burn-offs, performance guaranties, and non-recourse, “bad-boy” carve-outs.

Barrist offers a full range of commercial real estate law services involving the finance, acquisition, sale, lease and development of complex multimillion-dollar real estate projects throughout Delaware, around the country and internationally. She regularly represents banks and lending institutions, private equity firms, investors, developers, owners, landlords, and tenants.
