Chapman and Martin Participate in Panel Discussion Marking Judge Sleet’s Retirement
Potter Anderson senior counsel and former Delaware judges Bill Chapman and Josh Martin joined a distinguished panel of fellow jurists on September 26 to discuss their careers and unique perspectives gained through their experiences in the Delaware legal community. Moderated by Professor Leland B. Ware, Louis L. Redding Chair for the Study of Law and Public Policy at the University of Delaware, the panel also included Judge Gregory Sleet, Judge Charles Toliver and Judge Diane Clarke Streett.
Chapman is Potter Anderson’s chief talent and diversity officer. He leads the firm's efforts to recruit and develop a diverse team of dedicated attorneys and works closely with the firm’s recruiting, associates and diversity Committees. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a Family Court judge for the state of Delaware. He also served as deputy attorney general for the Delaware Department of Justice.
Martin concentrates his law practice on mediation and arbitration and on business counseling, particularly in the areas of telecommunications, public utilities and governmental relations. Prior to joining the firm in 2005, he was president and CEO of Verizon Delaware. His public service includes serving as a Delaware Superior Court judge and chairing the Delaware Public Service Commission.
