Sensing and Buckley Present at Labor and Employment Law Update 2020
John Sensing and Jennifer Penberthy Buckley were panelists at the Delaware State Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Update 2020 program. Sensing discussed restrictive covenants, including recent developments and best practices for drafting and litigation. Buckley’s panel focused on employee benefits for the non-benefit practitioner.
Sensing represents businesses and individuals in a myriad of commercial litigation matters in courts throughout Delaware. His client engagements include complex commercial litigation, business tort matters, and contract disputes, as well as the defense of claims asserted under federal antitrust and securities laws. He also represents clients in expedited matters relating to the enforcement of restrictive covenants and contractual non-competition provisions, and he represents policyholders in complex insurance coverage litigation against their insurers.
Buckley advises employers on adopting and implementing effective policies consistent with federal and state law; responding to employee requests for leave and accommodation; avoiding and responding to discrimination claims; and more. Her employee benefits practice includes drafting and revising welfare benefit plans, deferred compensation and executive compensation plans, and Section 125 or “cafeteria” plans and “wrap” documents.
