Shannon Discusses Delaware Developments at Tulane Corporate Law Institute

At the 30th annual Tulane University Law School’s Corporate Law Institute in New Orleans, partner Kevin Shannon participated in a panel discussion titled “Delaware Developments.” Panelists analyzed significant decisions from the Court of Chancery and Supreme Court of Delaware in the past year, including:

  • recent decision of the Delaware Supreme Court in Wal-Mart
  • collateral estoppel effect of dismissal pursuant to Rule 23.1
  • enforceability and effectiveness of exclusive forum provisions
  • standard of judicial review applicable to director compensation plans as addressed in cases such as Citrix and Investor Bancorp

Shannon practices primarily in the areas of corporate and commercial litigation, including substantial experience in litigating stockholder class, derivative and other actions in the Delaware Court of Chancery.
