Steele Weighs in on ESG and the Delaware Courts

At The Federalist Society’s Shareholder and Stakeholder Symposium, partner Myron Steele spoke on a panel about what the shareholder and stakeholder theories mean today for businesses, corporate law and governance, the role of in-house attorneys, and more. Steele’s remarks focused on ESG and the Delaware courts.

Steele is the former Chief Justice of the Delaware Supreme Court. He previously served as a Judge of the Superior Court and a Vice Chancellor of the Delaware Court of Chancery after 18 years in private litigation practice. He has presided over major corporate litigation and LLC and limited partner governance disputes, and writes frequently on issues of corporate document interpretation and corporate governance.
