Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP is working on a pro bono basis to help save the historic Hockessin School 107C, the school that became part of the U.S. Supreme Court’s landmark 1954 Brown V. Board of Education decision that struck down segregation in public schools.

Partner Joshua W. Martin III, has been assisted in this endeavor by Potter Anderson partner Michael W. Whittaker.

Josh Martin commented, “My objective is to raise enough money by the end of March 2012 to secure the five-acre parcel of land the school sits on by paying off the debt owed.  Preserving this historical site is so important in teaching future generations about the desegregation of public schools in this country.
