Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP is pleased to announce that Jennifer C. Wasson, an associate in the firm’s litigation practice, has been selected for a one-year legal fellowship to support the Federal Enforcement and Detention/Urban Policing Program (FED UP). Wasson will serve as a Special Assistant United States Attorney and resigned her position with the firm on October 15. 

As the FED UP fellow for the year, Wasson will work closely with the Wilmington Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms to prosecute gun cases in federal court as part of an anti-violence initiative.  She will represent the United States at detention hearings, preliminary and suppression hearings, jury trials, and sentencings. 

Wasson received her J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of North Carolina and her B.S.,summa cum laude, from The College of William & Mary.  She is an associate member of the Board of Bar Examiners, co-chair of the Young Lawyers Subcommittee of the Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee of the ABA’s Litigation Section, and a member of the Employee Relations Committee, Delaware State Chamber of Commerce.
