Potter Anderson & Corroon Partner Richard L. Horwitz Named a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America

Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP is pleased to announce that Richard L. Horwitz, a partner in the firm’s Litigation Group, was named a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America and inducted into the organization at its fall conference.

The Litigation Counsel of America is a trial lawyer honorary society composed of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers.  Fellows are selected based on effectiveness and accomplishments in litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels, and superior ethical reputation.  Membership is limited to 3500 lawyers, and includes attorneys in private practice, in-house counsel and governmental attorneys.

Mr. Horwitz practices in commercial and corporate litigation, with a focus on intellectual property, in addition to antitrust, contract, business tort and Delaware corporate litigation.  Chambers USA, The Best Lawyers, Lawdragon and Law & Politics’ Super Lawyers have all recognized Mr. Horwitz for his legal work. He also serves as co-chair of the American Bar Association’s Litigation Section Trial Evidence Committee and a member of the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware’s Intellectual Property Litigation Advisory Committee. He is a former co-chair of the ABA’s Litigation Section Pretrial Practice and Discovery Committee, vice-chair of the section’s Corporate Counsel Committee and former co-chair of the Patent Litigation Subcommittee of the Litigation Section Intellectual Property Litigation Committee.

Mr. Horwitz received his J.D. from Duke University and his B.A. from Amherst College.  Prior to joining Potter Anderson, he served as a law clerk to Justice Robert L. Clifford, Supreme Court of the State of New Jersey.
