McDonough and Chenoweth-Shook Co-Author Chapter on Delaware Jurisdictional Changes

Kathleen Furey McDonough and Clarissa Chenoweth-Shook co-authored a chapter on jurisdictional changes in Delaware Supreme Court History, a book recently released by Justice Randy J. Holland, who served on the court for more than 30 years. The book covers the Court’s history from 1951 to 2021.

This publication is a follow up to Delaware Supreme Court Golden Anniversary, which was published in 2001. In the original publication, the chapter on jurisdictional changes was also written by a Potter Anderson lawyer: longtime partner and former firm chair Richard E. Poole.

McDonough has served as chair of Potter Anderson since 2018 and is the first woman to lead a major Delaware law firm. She is the founder of the firm’s labor and employment practice, representing management clients in all manner of labor and employment disputes as well as representing secondary and post-secondary institutions with respect to education law issues.

Chenoweth-Shook is a trial lawyer who has represented clients in each of Delaware’s state courts and in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware. Her practice focuses on representing companies and individuals in commercial litigation. In particular, she has significant experience with contract disputes, alternative entity disputes and business divorce matters.
