Potter Anderson Advises Regal in $3.6 Billion Merger With Cineworld

Regal Entertainment Group, the second largest U.S. cinema operator, has entered into a definitive merger agreement with Cineworld Group PLC, the biggest cinema operator in the U.K. Cineworld will acquire Regal for an estimated $3.6 billion, creating one of the world’s largest cinema chains.

Potter Anderson’s team serving as Delaware counsel to Regal included partners Michael Tumas and Michael Reilly and associates David DiDonato and Elizabeth Webb Bucilla.

News of the deal was covered by the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, Financial Times and other major media outlets.
