Potter Anderson Advises AmeriGas Audit Committee on $4.6 Billion Transaction
Energy distributor, UGI Corporation, and the nation’s largest retail propane marketer, AmeriGas Partners, L.P., have entered into a merger agreement in which UGI will acquire all of the AmeriGas common units not already owned by UGI. As part of the transaction, AmeriGas unitholders will receive 0.50 shares of UGI common stock plus $7.63 in cash consideration for each AmeriGas common unit. The transaction is valued at approximately $4.6 billion.
Potter Anderson advised the AmeriGas audit committee on the transaction. The team included partners Mark Morton and Tom Mullen and associates Alyssa Ronan and Garrett Lyons.
