Reed Elected Chairman of Technology Forum of Delaware Board

Dr. Janet Reed, partner and head of Potter Anderson’s intellectual property transactional and counseling practice, has been elected chairman of the board of the Technology Forum of Delaware. The Tech Forum is a nonprofit association dedicated to helping the region’s technology business leaders acquire the knowledge, resources and connections needed to compete and succeed in a global economy. Reed has been an active member of the Tech Forum for several years and has served on the board since 2018.

Though she counsels in all aspects of intellectual property, Reed focuses her practice on patents related to biotechnological inventions in food, medicine and agriculture. Her clients span a variety of industries and include large and small pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, agricultural and food companies, and academic institutions. She has extensive experience in domestic and foreign patent prosecution, patent portfolio management and strategic planning, evaluation of new technology, drafting of license and other commercialization agreements, conducting and responding to due diligence inquiries, and preparation of opinions on patentability, infringement and freedom to operate.
