Brett M. Haywood

Brett M. Haywood is counsel in the firm's bankruptcy group. He focuses his practice primarily on complex commercial restructurings in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, offering business-focused legal counsel and a proven track record of restructuring large corporate enterprises, negotiating complex commercial agreements, and advising company leaders and decision-makers on important legal matters.

While in law school, Brett served as a judicial intern to Hon. Jose M. Lopez of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, a legal intern for the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of the United States Trustee, and as a judicial intern to Hon. Joan N. Feeney of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts. After law school, he served as a law clerk to Hon. Elizabeth S. Strong of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York, and as a law clerk to Hon. Christopher S. Sontchi of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
