Biography
AJ Roop is the firm's Assistant General Counsel and Director of Risk Management. AJ assists the firm’s general counsel in providing legal advice to the partnership and management team, oversees the firm’s conflicts team and new matter intake process, and proactively manage risks to the firm.
Prior to joining Potter Anderson, Roop held various positions in the Delaware Department of Justice (DDOJ) for over seven years. Most recently, he served as Chief of Staff to Delaware Attorney General Kathy Jennings, where he supervised DDOJ functions including communications, policy, legislation, budget, operations, IT, and human resources. Prior to serving as Chief of Staff, AJ served as DDOJ's Director of the Criminal Division.
