John C. Brooks

Biography

John Brooks is the firm's Chief Information Officer. He studied Mechanical Engineering at Drexel University and has an extensive background in information technology that spans over 25 years. He began his career in working in project management for NAVSEA working on amphibious ships for the U.S. Navy and then joined the ranks of supporting legal professional services law firms after obtaining Microsoft technology certifications. In his various roles throughout his career, he has managed all aspects of information technology working for AMLAW 100 law firms prior to joining Potter Anderson in 2018.

John is responsible for the support of technologies, services, and security for the firm. He obtained Delaware’s first ISO 27001 Certified law firm in 2020 and maintains this high standard of security for the firm. He has also member of the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) since 2007.
